At the end of last summer, I had the opportunity to photograph Rue de Seine’s Love Spell collection of bohemian wedding dresses in Joshua Tree. I’ve swooned over Rue de Seine’s ethereal dress designs ever since my sister’s wedding day two years ago. You can imagine my surprise when the designer herself, Greer, reached out to me for a collaboration.
Rue de Seine Love Spell Collection 2017
The ladies at Rue de Seine visited LA in August to prepare to launch their 2017 line, Love Spell. And they really out did themselves this time. These dresses are the pinnacle of bohemian goddess perfection and our model, Sydnie, was pretty much born to wear them.
By special request, we made a pit stop on the way out to Joshua Tree at the Coachella Valley wind turbines. The flowy cape of the Comet Gown and Sydnie’s graceful posture mimicked the blades of the giant turbines. When we couldn’t stand the heat any longer, we hopped back in the van to cool down. Then it was on the road again to make it to the park for golden hour.
Wedding Dresses made for Joshua Tree
We photographed the Dakota and Morrison gowns in the glowing light, followed by a finale of colorful smoke bombs in the Woodrose Gown. A huge thanks goes out to all the ladies on this team for making all my boho desert dreams come true.
