How do we know if you’re a good match for us?
If you’ve taken the time to browse through the site and feel my images and words tugging at your heartstrings, we’re halfway there. I strongly believe nothing beats an honest, face-to-face conversation. You’ve read my story…now let’s hear yours. What does marriage mean to you? What do you have planned for your day? What makes you tick? Send me a message to set up a coffee date or Facetime session.
Do we need an engagement session?
I personally love engagement sessions for a few different reasons, but if it’s not something you’re into, don’t force it. Being in front of a camera is intimidating enough, but working together in advance will give you a chance to warm up to that feeling. Without a restrictive timeline, we will have more time to explore and it will give me a deeper sense of the love you share with each other. I believe those silly, sweet moments you share in every day life are just as memorable and important as the day you exchange vows.
How far in advance should we book and pay you?
I take bookings as far as 18 months in advance, but 6-8 months is average. My availability will be more limited with last minute inquiries (less than 3 months). After we discuss all of your details, you will receive a link to sign the contract digitally. Once the contract has been signed, you will have access to a secure payment portal to pay the retainer or full balance via credit or debit. I also accept cash or checks.
What products do you offer?
Call me old school, but there’s something special about holding your memories in your hands versus viewing them on a screen. If you’re a book worm like me, I offer heirloom albums and photo books for the coffee table. If a gallery collage on your wall or a few frames around the house is more your style, I also offer a full catalogue of print and canvas sizes. And for you new age folks, USBs are available for purchase too. Visit my product page for more info.
Do we get print rights?
Every session includes a print release for personal prints up to a 8”x12” size. Enlargements can be ordered via your digital gallery from my professional print lab. If those photos are going to be big, we want to make sure they’re perfect.
We’ve never done this before. What can we expect?
If you’re new to this, that’s ok! I think you would be surprised to hear the majority of the couples I work with admit to being camera shy before our session. My number one goal is to put you at ease in a setting that feels comfortable to you. I guarantee by the end of the session, you will forget the camera is even there because you’re too caught up in the moment together.
Where will you travel and how much does it cost?
Travel is my greatest passion and one of the main reasons I decided to pursue this for a living. Most of the couples I work with are as nature obsessed as I am, so I end up traveling for about 75% of my work. If your wedding is outside of Southern California in the continental U.S., I charge for round-trip flights (or gas/mileage if driving) and accomodations for 2-3 nights. If it’s outside the U.S., I charge for round-trip flights, accommodations for 4 nights, and rental car expenses. No matter how far you’re going, I would love to be there with you.
How long do we need you on our wedding day?
If you’ve read my bio, you know I’m a storyteller at heart. Whenever possible, I would love to be there the whole day to fully tell your story. I need space to be creative and restrictive timelines don’t generally allow me that freedom. I understand every couple will have different needs for their wedding day. I offer 6, 8, or 10-hour collections and will recommend the best coverage options for you based on your plans.
How many photos do we get and how long does it take?
I deliver around 75 images per hour of coverage for wedding days, and between 50-75 for portrait sessions. My goal is always to get you the images as quickly as possible, but it varies with the season. In the spring and winter months, my turnaround time is typically 4-6 weeks. During peak months (June-October), it’s closer to 6-8 weeks.
Do you have insurance?
Yes, I do. If your venue needs to see my info, just let me know
