It all started with one app and two right swipes- the beginning of any modern love story. Jade and Casey were hooked after their first few dates with each other. A year later on their anniversary, Casey gave Jade a pair of purple Steve Maddens…with an extra surprise. It took a few ganders in the mirror with one shoe on before she discovered the ring attached to its match.
Flash forward to late March, these two decided to make it official. It was a beautiful, balmy spring day in San Juan Capistrano at the Franciscan Gardens. I can’t say who was more nervous or excited leading up to the first look, but they were equally overjoyed after they laid eyes on each other for the first time.
At our meeting, they excitedly told me about their mutual love for the band the Fruit Bats. Que this very song: here comes Jade gliding down the aisle to a very eager Casey. Their silly and sweet vows to each other put a smile on all of our faces.
We explored the streets of downtown at peak golden hour after the ceremony and stumbled upon a magical garden of prickly pear cacti, sage and daisies. The old mission buildings made the perfect backdrop for their bride and groom portraits.
The rest of the night was a blur of emotional parent dances, cake fights and dancing under the market lights. Congratulations you two! Wishing you lots of love and happiness in your future together. Now go soak up that honeymoon!
